Mountain Faces and Boat Docks | Chase and Shelby's Hot Springs Arkansas Engagement Session

He was the chef, and she was the baker. They hit it off, but knew that if they pursued a relationship, they'd both risk loosing their jobs. Ten months went by before Chase finally asked Shelby to hang out with him outside of work. Shelby met up with him at Camp Davidson.... never imagining that one day she would marry him there. For six months, Shelby and Chase went on secret dates- strolling around downtown Hot Springs, trying different restaurants, and watching movies together. Eventually, Shelby took another job and they made their relationship public. Months later, Chase got down on one knee in front of their entire church congregation... and Shelby screamed yes before he could even ask. :)

I've known Shelby since I was a freshman at Henderson (and even worked with her and Chase for a while during college!) and was so, so excited to meet up with the two of them for their engagement session in Hot Springs last week. We walked around downtown, catching up on life and searching for the absolute best photo locations. Somehow I convinced the two of them to climb up on a giant 8-ish foot wall... and I'm SO glad they did, because I just love the way the images turned out! Later, we headed to Chase's family's lake house and ended the night on the dock as the sun slipped over the horizon. I had a fantastic time with the two of them, and I can't wait to photograph their wedding later this month! Shelby is such a joyful lady, and I just know that their celebration is going to be unique, beautiful, and full of love.
