An Arkansas Campground Wedding | Chase and Shelby
As Shelby and her bridesmaids got ready, they continued to steal glances outside. Still raining. Although there was hope it might let up a bit by the time everyone headed to the campground… hope was in vein. All day long it alternated between sprinkles and rain, but Shelby’s spirits were still high. As the girls got ready in their cabin on DeGray Lake, there was constant laughter, squeals, and exclamations of how beautiful everyone looked.
Despite the rain, Shelby and Chase’s campground wedding at camp Davidson was absolutely beautiful. It’s one of the oldest campgrounds in the nation and the largest in Arkansas, and as we drove in, I was blown away that something so unique and interesting existed so close to Arkadelphia! The wooden cabins were a perfect backdrop for portraits and the decorations in the pavilion made an absolutely gorgeous ceremony location.
After Shelby and Chase said “I do”, we headed to the Ouachita Baptist University Walker Conference Center for their reception. Again. Blown away. I’ve spend a LOT of time in that conference center (I worked there for several years in college!) and I’d never seen it decorated so beautifully. From the handmade wooden cupcake holder (and tons of other DIY projects!) to the whole hog (with a crown upon its head........and sunglasses.), everything was just right.
Shelby and Chase, thank you again for allowing me to document your day. I hope your getaway to New Orleans was fantastic and I can’t wait to see what the future has for you two!
