Moments are what Matter
I spent several hours today listening to one of my favorite wedding professionals speak, and every time I listen to her she makes my cry when she talks about moments. How all of the technical proficiency, gear, and knowledge are really just tools that mean nothing without the content. The real life, authentic moments. These photographs- the honest and genuine ones- are at the very core of why I do what I do. Without them, my work would simply be a bunch of pretty pictures that have no soul.
So today I wanted to remember the heart behind my work. The photographs I've made that that inspire me to continue to push myself and my imagery.... not only for me, but for my clients. My greatest desire is to serve them well, make photographs that are truly special, and give them something to pass on to their grandchildren.
These are just a few of my favorites, and I couldn't be more excited about the moments I'll have the opportunity to document in 2014.
"Art happens where preparation and opportunity unexpectedly collide. A photograph that shows more than information, but also emotion, begins to truly tell a story."
