Matt & Heather's Pinnacle Mountain Engagement | Mountain Tops & Rainy Days
Storm clouds were rolling in, but they would not be deterred. Instead, they talked and laughed a bit as they walked, climbing the same mountain that they had climbed so many times before.
By the time they got to the top of Pinnacle Mountain, it was raining. And it was only getting worse. Heather suggested they head back down, but today was Matt’s birthday and he wanted to stick around a bit longer. Together, they found their favorite spot and looked out over the landscape that sprawled beneath them.
This was a special place for Matt and Heather, a place that held lots of memories and defining moments in their relationship as they had grown together over the past five years. And that day, in the pouring rain and in a place that meant so much to them, Matt asked Heather to be his wife.
It couldn’t have been more perfect that it also threatened to storm the day that Matt, Heather, and I decided to climb Pinnacle Mountain to document their engagement. As we climbed, Heather told me her and Matt’s story and I couldn’t have been more happy for the two of them. Heather was one of my very first friends at Henderson, and I’ve have had the opportunity to watch The Lord working as her and Matt’s story unfolded over the years. I cannot even express how much Heather’s friendship meant to me throughout college and I’m so incredibly honored to have the opportunity to document this new and exciting season of their lives.
