Fine Art | "We Lift Our Hands" Israel Book

When I visited Israel, I found myself gravitating toward taking the same type of photograph over and over again. About midway through the trip, I recognized this link and began intentionally shooting for several different themes, hoping to create a few series in my Spring classes. Each of those ideas took shape in different forms and mediums, but I think this one was my absolute favorite. It combined my love of bookmaking, alternate printing techniques, spending hours doing repetitive processes, and... coffee. Lots of coffee.

So. It was a pretty wonderful way to spend a good chunk of my time in college. :)

Below is the finished book I created, titled "We Lift Our Hands". It's a bit more serious and snarky than the things I normally blog about, but it was a concept that really meant a lot to me as I created it. I hope that, even if you don't like it, it at least makes you think.
