An Old Statehouse Museum Outdoor Wedding | JD & Dawn
She took a deep breath and tried to contain her giggles as deep hues was expertly applied to her eyelids… but after a few seconds laughter erupted anyway. Tucked in the back room of the East of Eden salon, Dawn and her twin sister, Danielle, were getting ready for the day they had talked about and dreamed about for so very long, and their joy was completely and wonderfully apparent.
Soon, Dawn arrived at the Marriott hotel in Little Rock to finish getting ready with her closest friends and family. Together they excitedly talked about what was to come and celebrated how beautiful Dawn looked in her dress. Then, she rode down the glass elevator and walked next door to the Old Statehouse Museum to meet her groom. JD was ready and waiting for his bride, and the moment he laid eyes on her, he just couldn’t tear them off.
As their seven o’clock ceremony drew closer, guests streamed on to the Old Statehouse Lawn until every seat was filled. Peaking through the windows of the Marriott next door, Dawn and her bridesmaids watched guests take their seats until somebody said what everyone was thinking - “Dawn, just look at how loved you are." And by the end of the night, there was no doubt just how perfectly accurate this one statement could be.
Truly, it was an honor to be part of such a wonderful celebration of love and marriage for two people dearly loved by so many. Dawn and JD, thank you for trusting Lucas and I to document your day. You really do know how to make people feel valuable and included, and we’ll never forget the joy we witnessed on your wedding day. We hope that you’re having a wonderful time in L.A. and that you enjoy the moments we captured for you forever.
