A Prelude to Winter Wedding | Duncan & Rachel

It was moments before they would be married. And instead of waiting for the ceremony to begin separately, Rachel and Duncan were tucked away together in a little corner of the church. Excited, nervous, and every emotion in between. And when the time came, Rachel took Duncan's arm and he led her out of the back room and down the grand aisle with friends and family looking on. They decided to walk down the aisle together to symbolize their desire to walk through life, arm in arm as equals, and it was a beautiful picture of the marriage they were about to enter into.

Rachel and Duncan were married at Saint Elizabeth Ann Secton Catholic Church in Keller, Texas on a cool day in mid November. Their reception was held at the Marq in Southlake, and it was the perfect place to celebrate love and family and friendship and marriage that will last a lifetime. Rachel and Duncan's wedding day honestly could not have been more perfect - from the slow morning getting ready and photographing the two of them together and with their friends and family, to the heartfelt speeches and the laughter and tears at the reception. It was an honor and a privilege to spend the day with these two and document their first day as husband and wife, and I can't think of a better way to have ended out 2016 wedding season!!

Rachel and Duncan, thank you so much for trusting me and inviting me into your lives. Thank you for treating Lucas and I like friends you've known forever, and for always being up for one more photograph. :) It truly means the world to me to be able to call you both friends, and I hope that you love and cherish these photographs for the rest of your lives.
