Our Everyday Adventures | Edition 4
It's been a crazy few weeks here at the Nunley household! We officially started our house renovations a few weeks ago, and since then, it's been a whirlwind of paint and dust as we desperately try to finish up most of it before wedding season starts back up for us this Saturday! That's not much time, but I also couldn't be more excited for our three upcoming March weddings... each and every one of them are extra special to us! :)
Anyway, if you're new to this series, you can read the most recent "Everyday Adventures" post here!
Our Everyday Adventures — February 22-28:
— Like I mentioned earlier, this past week has been a week of painting! At this point, we've ripped up all of our flooring in the main living area, primed the walls, and painted the kitchen cabinet boxes. So the next thing in line was to paint the ceilings and walls! I finally picked a gray paint (after literally a month and a half of deliberation!) and spent many many many long hours painting every surface of the house! I still have a little bit more to do (window trim, pantry, and closets), but the majority of the painting is over and we're getting to the point that we're ALMOST ready to install our new floors and have a functional house again!! And, ya'll. I'm seriously so so so so SO THRILLED. I'll never take flooring for granted again. :)
- One of my favorite paint projects of the week was a special fireplace makeover project I tackled! I'll share more photographs later, but it seriously made such a giant impact on the space!
- It started because I wanted some background noise while I was working that I didn't necessarily have to watch. And then somehow, Lucas and I have gotten into watching The Office. Again. We've seen every episode multiple times, but somehow it's just so comforting to visit our old friends Jim and Pam and Michael at Dunder Mifflin... no matter how many times we've seen them before.
- Lucas has officially started a new flight instructor position with full force and is loving every minute of it! It's so fun to watch him enjoy a new challenge, and it's been fun developing a new routine and figuring out what our new "normal" looks like in Northwest Arkansas!
- While it's hard to feel truly settled with a house that's kind of a construction zone, I'm just so thankful for this new season of life we've been given. I'm doing my best to enjoy the journey and savor each second that we're able to work towards building our lives together. Even the parts that are messy and full of toxic paint fumes. :)
