A Southern Spring Barn Wedding | Ariel & James
She never thought she’d have a long engagement. Six months tops, she thought. But here she was, nearly 14 months after James asked her to marry him, finally slipping in between layers of lace and into her wedding dress. It took longer than she thought to get to this moment, but she wouldn’t have changed a single thing. Because this moment? Surrounded by her mother and six of her closest friends, all helping her prepare to walk down the aisle to her new husband in just a few short hours? This moment was absolutely perfect.
Ariel and James were married at Ramage Farms outside of Texarkana, Texas on a Spring day that was supposed to rain but ended up being warm and full of sunshine. Their ceremony was sweet and meaningful, and the reception was filled to the brim with laughter and hugs and congratulations. It was a day that reminded me why I love what I do - a day that focused heavily on people and relationships and the meaning of marriage. It was truly an honor to celebrate with these two, and it was my absolute pleasure to document the moment that their two lives joined together as one.
Ariel and James, I can’t even begin to express how wonderful it’s been to get to know you over the last year! It’s been so fun for me to be a part of your stories - from the moment you each caught the bouquet and garter at Ryne and Tara’s wedding over a year and a half ago, to the day you became husband and wife. Thank you so much for allowing me into your lives, and I hope you love these photographs and the story of your day as much as I do.
