5 Things You May Not Know About Me

Happy Friday, friends! I know it's been a long time since we've chatted about anything really personal, so today I thought I'd hop on and share 5 random facts you might not know about me as a way to get to know each other again!
Enjoy!

1. I love white.

Okay, so... you probably know this about me. But it's true - the other day I asked Lucas to describe me in three words, and his first immediate response was, "Stephanie. Cats. White." My love for all things simple and clean and white and bright and airy has reached new heights over the past year, and I feel like I'm finally coming to terms with the fact that it's what makes my heart sing.

2. I need marble everywhere in my life.

This goes hand in hand with #allwhiteeverything, but I absolutely love marble. I love how bright, natural, and perfectly imperfect it is. I'm determined that someday Lucas and I will have real marble countertops, and I won't care if they become etched and imperfect because there's so much beauty and history in gorgeous worn marble. It's just my favorite. In fact, the first time I walked in the Arkansas State Capitol I felt like I was in heaven- there is marble literally everywhere, and ya'll. That's pretty much all I want with my life. :)

3. Kombucha is life.

I'll admit - at first, I think I liked the idea of kombucha more than I actually liked kombucha itself. The first time I tried it I genuinely couldn't stomach it, but I'm now convinced it was just the brand I tried. They all taste a little bit different, and once I found a brand I liked, I couldn't get enough. I could honestly drink it every single day.

4. Alaska is my favorite place on earth.

I've been fortunate enough to travel to a lot of beautiful places in my short time on Earth, but Alaska is by far the most beautiful. Literally everywhere you look is pretty much a postcard, from the incredible mountains to the clear lakes and gorgeous trees. I'm not even kind of a pioneer woman, but I think I'd be happy living somewhere remote as long as it was that beautiful.

5. Delight is my favorite organization ever.

If you've never heard me talk about Delight before, it's a non-profit organization created for young women pursuing the creative arts. I got involved a few years ago and have consistently been a part of it ever since. My favorite part about being a photographer, outside of actually taking photos, is leading in Delight. I love jumping in the photography Facebook group almost every day and answering questions, and I've had the privilege of leading at two in person workshops and retreats in the past year. The girls involved are so talented I can't even wrap my mind around it, and they are literally the future of our industry. It's an honor to be just one voice in many teaching them and raising them up.

Now that you know a bit more about me, I'd love for you to share a random fact I don't know about you in the comments below!
