Arkansas Photographers Meetup

It all started with Cassie. About a year ago, I kept seeing this name pop up in a facebook group we're both a part of. I was super new to the group, and immediately admired her upbeat, caring, generous, and kiiiiiind of silly personality. After creeping on her for several weeks, I finally got up the nerve to send her a message, asking if she ever needed a second shooter....... the whole time thinking, "There's no way she'll even respond to this; she's like... famous...." ;)

Southwestern Photojournalism Conference 2013

Last year, I was working on an assignment and ran across an informal group of photographers blogging about life, photography, and Jesus. The Christians in Photojournalism website meant a lot to me when I first ran across it, and I soon stumbled upon the Southwestern Photojournalism Conference, which is kind-of-related-sort-of to CIP. My friend Jennifer and I decided that life is for the living, and decided to go... not really sure what we were getting ourselves into.
