It was the longest thirty seconds of his life. As Isaac stood near the long gravel road, he could hear Ellie making her way to him, and time seemed to move slower and slower with each soft footstep. And then all of a sudden, he felt Ellie’s hand on his shoulder and the wait was over. He slowly turned around, took one look at her, and wrapped his arms tightly around the girl of his dreams. And in that moment, nothing else mattered.
Ellie and Isaac were married at Hockinson Community Church in Brush Prairie Washington on a cold, cloudy November day. There are so many beautiful and moving stories I could tell you about their wedding day. I could tell you about the little kisses these two snuck all day long when no one was looking. About how hard their families worked to make their wedding a reality. About their incredible friends and family who made the day so much fun. About the laughter and joy and the bittersweet tears. There are truly a thousand stories I could tell, and I hope you’re able to see just a glimpse of how beautiful these moments were in the photographs below.
Ellie and Isaac, thank you for inviting Lucas and I to share such a special day with the two of you. Thank you for braving the cold and getting your shoes wet for your portraits. Thank you for being so willing to go with the flow, and thank you for welcoming us into your families for a weekend. I hope you enjoy just a few of my favorites from your wedding day!!
