This session is really special to me. 

It’s special because sweet Kali was a 2014 #snbride, and I’ve adored her since the first day we met. I loved being a part of her and Ricky’s lives as they prepared for marriage, and photographing their wedding was an honor that I’ll never forget. I try to keep up with my brides (because I feel like they’re all a part of this amazing family of incredible people!), so obviously, I was thrilled when I found out that these two were expecting!! And even though they live several hours from us now, it worked out perfectly for me to drop in and spend a little bit of time with Kali and her little man while we were in Southern Arkansas a few months ago for a wedding.  I can’t even put into words how special it was for me to photograph this new season of their lives, and how surreal it is to me that my sweet brides are having babies! Little William was right around 6 months old when we made these photographs, and I love that we were able to capture him at this stage. He was mobile and alert with lots of personality, but still cuddly and affectionate. 

Kali, thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to photograph the connection that you and William share – I hope you cherish the photographs of these fleeting moments forever.
